Latest Updates to Our Food Labelling Software
Nov 18, 2024
From Sunday 24th November (2024), the Product Centre in our LabelLogic Live food labelling software will be looking ever so zhuzhy - ‘chef’s kiss’, as the kids might say.
Which is our very untechnical way of telling you that our food labelling software is getting a number of ingenious and often very-much-technical updates to significantly enhance usability.
These follow months of work by our wonderful development team and are focused around category configuration, linking recipes and field management.
Below we’ve outlined some of the changes to the label software:
Update 1. Improved 'Link to Recipe' Functionality
Automatic Linking: Six fields (Weight, Allergens, Ingredients, RDI, Nutritional Info, Nutrition Facts) now default to a "linked" status, eliminating manual linking.
Goal: To increase accuracy while maintaining flexibility (please note that fields can still be used in both linked and unlinked states as needed).
Update 2. Removal of Some Pages
'Edit Category Definition' and 'Category Field Config' have been removed
Goal: To prevent accidental data loss.
Update 3. New ‘Field Controls’
Field visibility settings have been replaced with 'Field Controls'
Goal: To simplify field management.
Other changes to the food labelling software
- Products can now be moved across categories without compatibility issues.
- New Product Edit Page:
- Consistent Field Choices across all categories.
- Field Descriptions for better guidance.
- In-Page Field Additions while editing a product.
- Pre-loaded Fields for new sites (10 common fields).
- Advanced Actions: New cog options for fields like 'Apply to all', 'Set Default', and 'Link to Fixed Text'. - Recipe Link Preservation: Toggling link status now keeps manually entered values intact, preventing data loss
The updates go live on the 24th of November. We’d love to hear your feedback on our latest round of enhancements, as well as any thoughts you might have on other areas of LabelLogic Live.
