This means, through Zap, that you can now connect with waste providers local to you who will collect your compostable packaging and deliver it to certified composting facilities. It’s fair to say, we’re very excited!

Why Work with Zap Waste Systems?

If you’ve made the switch to compostable packaging, you probably want to see it go to a composting facility. Working with Zap Waste Systems makes this really simple and they will offer you tailored advice for your business, as well as finding a compostable collection service near you.

Why Composting Matters

Compostable packaging is designed to break down into nutrient-rich compost, but only when processed correctly. And when sent to landfill or for incineration - also known as RDF (or refuse derived fuel) - it not only forfeits any environmental benefits, it contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. Did you know that composting:

  • Diverts waste from landfill
  • Reduces methane emissions
  • Supports regenerative agriculture
  • Aligns your business with circular economy principles
