Back to Nature, our brand new grab and go packaging and labelling collection, now includes four industry-first certified industrially compostable (Din Certco EN 13432) and recyclable sandwich packs without having to remove the windows. These sit alongside a trio of home compostable and recyclable bowls; three labels and a sticker made from recycled material; plus a deli paper and two windowed sandwich bags.     
    
Underpinned by 40 years of market-leading labelling software, as our new flagship range, Back to Nature has been developed in response to the Extended Producer Responsibility regulation and Simpler Recycling legislation. It offers maximum flexibility through versatile products and a choice of disposal routes post-use. Priced 5% lower than our other collections, it continues to offer enhanced quality and shelf-life through cutting-edge materials and an off-the-shelf brand developed to complement a wide range of packaging and aid transition to the range.     

While historically Planglow has focused on compostables, the renewed emphasis on recyclables - and the expanded infrastructure to support this - has been instrumental in our decision to bring recyclable products to market, opening up another waste stream to businesses and consumers alike. Because the reality is that food and drink providers now operate in all manner of locations and environments and therefore require products that are as versatile as they are. Through Back to Nature we look to bypass restrictions brought about by location and offer exceptional packaging products with minimal exceptions.    
        
Certified    
Helping to build a low-cost off-the-shelf brand, Back to Nature utilises renewably managed plant-based materials in place of oil-based plastic and each product in the range clearly states how it may be disposed of. The four sandwich packs have been rigorously tested by Din Certco and certified EN 13432 industrially compostable (where facilitated). The range also includes certified home compostable (Din Certco NF T51-800) bowls for the collection meaning they are suitable for disposal in a domestic composting environment.     
    
Both the sandwich packs and bowls meet the recyclability standards of industry body On Pack Recycling Label (OPRL), of whom, we've also become a member. Dry recycling can be as much as 40-60% cheaper per bin lift than general waste collection services helping businesses to reduce costs and improve operational efficiencies, supporting a more circular economy overall.      
    
We’re proud to say that we now offer an extremely comprehensive range of certified products and are continuously expanding this selection. What’s more, we’ve also recently partnered with Zap Waste Systems who connect food and drink operators with local waste providers to collect their compostable packaging, alongside food waste, and take it to certified composting sites. We continue to expand both our network of disposal options, as well as our range of certified products so watch this space as, while we may be forty, we’re only just getting started!
